How to find and take down stolen Roblox clothing and UGC

If you sell clothing or accessories on Roblox, someone has probably re-uploaded at least one of your designs. This guide covers how copies get made, how to find them, how to check which listing is the real original, and how to get them removed.

How big the problem is

On 3 November 2026 we scanned one best-selling classic shirt with 356,807 favorites. Searching its name returned 487 Marketplace listings. 103 of them used the exact same image, sold by 90 different groups and players. 95 of the copies were priced at R$5, while the original sold for R$71. 22 copies had been uploaded in 2026 alone.

How copies are made

Classic shirts, pants and t-shirts are flat template images, so a copy only needs the template to be downloaded and uploaded again. Thieves usually change the name, add trending keywords and drop the price. 3D accessories and layered clothing are copied by re-uploading the mesh and texture under another account. In both cases the item looks the same in the Marketplace, even when the name is different.

Step 1: Search for copies

  1. Search the Marketplace for your item's exact name, then for its first two or three words.
  2. Open the Clothing or Accessories category that matches your item, so other item types don't crowd the results.
  3. Look at the images, not the names. Copies are often renamed.
  4. Repeat for your best sellers first. Popular items get copied the most.

Doing this by hand takes a long time once you have more than a few items. DripSnitch's scanner runs these searches for you, fingerprints every listing image, and lists the exact and edited copies in about 30 seconds.

Step 2: Check which listing is the original

Before you report anything, compare upload dates. If a matching listing was uploaded before yours, it may be the real original, and you may have been the one copying, even by accident through a template or a commission. Filing a false copyright claim can put your own account at risk. DripSnitch flags listings older than your item and never prepares a takedown for them.

Step 3: Collect what the report needs

Step 4: File the copyright report with Roblox

Roblox handles copyright through its DMCA process, and it only accepts reports from the rights holder or someone authorized to act for them. Rights holders can also register with Roblox's Rights Manager, which lets them file removal requests for avatar items. Read Roblox's DMCA guidelines before you file, and only report items you own.

Step 5: Keep watching

The same sellers often upload new copies after a takedown. Check your best sellers every week, or let DripSnitch Pro scan your whole group every day and post new copies to your Discord server.

Common questions

Can I report a copy that was renamed? Yes. What matters is that the design is yours, not the name.

What about recolored copies? A recolor of your template is still based on your work. DripSnitch marks these as close matches so you can review them before reporting.

Do I need to give anyone my Roblox login? No. Finding copies only needs public Marketplace links. Never share your password or cookie with any tool.
